What is Stars Over Texas?

(In partnership with Texas Motorplex and Night Lights Event)

Back for the third year, the Stars Over Texas Festival is a weekend full of memories you’ll never forget. During the day there’s professional bull riding, a Jambo BBQ Shootout, Craft Beer Expo, Exhibition Match Racing and more.

The live Texas Country Music starts at 3:30. After the sun goes down, we’ll come together and send up the lanterns.

Cozy up by your fire to enjoy the headline act, and then we’ll go out with a bang as we watch the fireworks together.

An action packed day full of fun and entertainment for the entire family.

NOON - Gates Open

1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

BBQ Shootout

Contestants will smoke their best entries for chicken, ribs and brisket to battle for more than $10,000 in cash and prizes. The best part is that our fans get to be the judges for some of the best grub Texas has to offer.

1:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Beer Expo

The best way to cool down on any warm Texas afternoon is to grab an ice cold beer. We have assembled breweries from all over the DFW Metroplex to bring you samplings of the best craft beers the area has to offer. Grab your free beer passport and hit the beer expo for some truly fine craft beer.

1:30 PM

Bull Riding

Cowboys around Texas and beyond will gather to take a turn on some of the toughest bulls out there. Try and hang on as we get up close and personal with the heart pounding action as these cowboys ride their way to that prized Stampede Of Speed belt buckle!

3:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Live Music

Find a place to sit and enjoy a beautiful Texas fall day as you enjoy live music from Wade Bowen, Shane Smith & The Saints, Elvie Shane, and Kylie Frey.

5:45 PM - 7:45 PM

Racing Roundup

The Racing Roundup will feature some of the fastest race cars on the planet as they breathe fire and roar down the track. The eye-opening, pulse pounding racing roundup will ramp up the excitement level for the week.

Lantern Release

In partnership with our friends at Night Lights our fans will release thousands of paper lanterns. If this is your first sky lantern event, we can assure you that you’ll want to invite your friends and family to join you in creating a memory you will never forget.
